International development monitoring and evaluation, collaborative and participatory evaluation, evaluation capacity building, data quality management, and cultural perspectives on evaluative thinking.
Ana received her M.A. in International Planning and Ph.D. in Program Evaluation and Planning, with a minor in Agriculture and Rural Development, from Cornell University. Since then she has 20+ years working in international development monitoring and evaluation in Africa and Asia with numerous donor agencies, local and international NGOs, and UN organizations. Her areas of expertise include HIV/AIDS care and prevention, maternal and child health, governance, climate change, agriculture, food security and livelihoods. Ana is an active member of the American Evaluation Association and is a co-founder of the Bangladesh Monitoring and Evaluation Network (BMEN) and the Myanmar Monitoring and Evaluation Association (MMEA). Ana is currently working on a publication on Data Quality Management and a series of articles on Buddhist Approaches to Evaluative Thinking.
